Grief, Loss & Life Transitions
Finding your way within a new normal.
Grief changes us. Whether you’re living with the death of someone you love, anticipating a loss, or facing a significant life change, things may never feel quite as they did before.
Grief isn’t something we simply get over. For many of us, it becomes part of our story, something we learn to carry alongside the rest of life. Counselling can help you make space for that experience as you find your way within a new reality.
Grief takes many forms
Loss is not limited to death. I support individuals navigating:
Death & bereavement: Life after the death of someone important to you.
Anticipatory grief: The emotions and uncertainty that come with an expected loss.
Caregiving & end-of-life: Serious illness, changing roles, and experiences at the end of life.
Life transitions & other losses: Relationship endings, employment changes, shifts in identity, and the life you imagined.
Difficult or complicated loss: Conflicting emotions, traumatic circumstances, or relationships that make grief especially hard to navigate.
A space to experience grief, not fix it
There is no single right way to grieve, and no timetable you need to follow. Sometimes the most helpful thing is being able to speak honestly about difficult emotions without someone trying to solve them. At other times, we may explore what has changed and what support could help you adjust.
Finding a new normal doesn’t mean forgetting, moving on from, or leaving behind the people and experiences that matter.
Specialized experience in grief and loss
For nearly a decade, I’ve supported individuals and families through the Sea to Sky Hospice Society. My work includes bereavement, anticipatory grief, caregiving, serious illness, and end-of-life support, alongside specialized training through Living Through Loss.
I bring this depth of experience to private counselling for adults and youth aged 12 and older in Squamish and virtually.
Support for your experience of loss.
Whether your loss is recent, happened years ago, or is something you’re anticipating, we can begin where you are.
